We rather enjoy the universal color scheme because if you are looking at your local Fry’s or Micro Center, it allows you to instantly pick out Corsair among the other products. The packaging features Corsair’s black and yellow livery packaging that we have become accustomed to with Corsair peripherals. So does it Strafe the competition and live up to Corsair’s prestigious name is something we will explore in this review. The Strafe RGB is also available in the other Cherry MX switches, so if you have a favorite switch type you can also order the Strafe RGB with your favorite Cherry MX switch. This keyboard is available directly from Corsair or at different retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy for approximately $150.Corsair had its humble beginnings producing computer memory and evolved to become a leader in high performance memory products. It seems to have everything you could want in a keyboard and more! Of course, there are going to be things that we would change in almost anything we experience but overall, the pros outweighed the cons with the Corsair STRAFE RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Cherry MX Silent. Overall, this keyboard has the potential to make PC gaming even more enjoyable with the features and the “bells and whistles” without all the noise of keys clicking that you get with other models. It depends on the user, but some may prefer the stand-alone keys. The Corsair keyboard comes with easy-access multimedia keys, however, they are not stand-alone and share with the function keys. This comes in handy when you need to access USB port quickly. The keyboard has some other really nice features such as a powered USB pass-through on the back for easy access to plug up a USB device. Some might find the keys to be a little “mushy” and may not care for it, however, I didn’t find it to be a negative in my personal opinion. It definitely made gaming a little more pleasant for me. I must admit this keyboard does sound much quieter than the gaming keyboards I have used in the past. The Cherry MX Silent switch, according to Corsair, makes the sound of the keys 30% quieter than other gaming keyboards. One of the most amazing features of this gaming keyboard that makes it different than the others is the Cherry MX Silent switches. ![]() The software might take some time to learn which could be a downside for some users. You can program it using the CUE IT UP software to be whatever color (or a variety of colors) you want it to be and you even have the capability to program it to do some really cool stuff. One of the things I really like about is the lighting under the keys. The cord is fairly thick and not braided which was not a huge deal to me but some might prefer it to braided. The keyboard is made of a high-quality plastic with a matte-like finish that will help keep fingerprints from showing up as much as a glossy finish. ![]() The package contained the STRAFE RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with and ergonomic detachable wrist rest, FPS & MOBA keycap sets, keycap puller and a quick start guide. We recently had the chance to try it out along with the Corsair M65 Pro RGB FPS Gaming Mouse we recently reviewed and wanted to tell you about it.įirst of all, let’s talk about what came in the box. The Corsair Strafe RGB Cherry MX Silent Gaming Keyboard is a fairly high-end gaming keyboard.
